BreastScreen NSW has temporarily suspended screening24-03-2020
To prioritise the wellbeing of women, staff and community, BreastScreen NSW has temporarily suspended routine breast screening to limit the transmission of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
- Cancelled appointments: If you’ve had your appointment cancelled, you will be notified by BreastScreen NSW directly, as soon as possible. We will contact you again to reschedule your appointment when the service re-opens.
- Result letters: If you’ve recently had a screen with us, rest assured you will still be notified of your results by letter.
- Recall for additional tests: If you’ve been called back for additional tests, you will still be able to attend your follow-up appointments.
We encourage you to remain breast aware and if you find a breast change that is unusual for you, contact your doctor or health worker without delay.
Thank-you for your support and understanding. Take care of yourselves and each other during this difficult time.
If you have any questions or require help, please call us on 13 20 50.
As the situation is rapidly evolving, we will provide updates here and on our Facebook page on how COVID-19 is impacting our breast screening service.
